The Easiest and Most Effective Method of Meditation

There are numerous meditation techniques, but for beginners, I highly recommend Anapanasati - Breath Awareness Meditation. This method involves bringing your awareness to the in-out breaths during the meditation period. As concentration improves, it can be moved to Vipassana Insight Meditation.

If you're a beginner, Anapanasati is an excellent choice. There are several guided videos available that can help you get started. It is my go-to method, and it has helped me immensely. Feel free to try it out and post any questions you might have if you get stuck.

Simplest Way to Meditate

For those new to meditation, finding a simple and effective method can be challenging. Here’s a basic approach you can try:

Find a Quiet Place: Choose a peaceful location where you won't be disturbed. Get into a Comfortable Position: Sit or lie down in a way that feels comfortable to you. Focus on Your Breathing: Pay close attention to your inhales and exhales. Focus on Your Thoughts: Observe your thoughts without getting involved in them. Do Not Give Up: If you fail, simply try again. It usually takes about 5–10 minutes for your mind and body to relax.

Meditation is a journey, and it’s important to find the state of “Zero” both in and out of meditation. This state of awareness is key to becoming present and mindful.

Hypnosis and Self-Hypnosis Misconceptions

It's worth noting that although hypnosis and self-hypnosis can be beneficial, they are not the same as meditation. Many people confuse these practices. Hypnosis can be a form of self-hypnosis, but it is not the same as meditation. Meditation is about becoming present and observing your thoughts without being trapped by them.

Meditation is not a method or technique to achieve enlightenment or nirvana. There are no blueprints that can lead you to a state of enlightenment. Trying to follow such a path can result in you becoming a secondhand person, which will never attain enlightenment. True enlightenment is beyond any constructed paths.

True Life and Nirvana

Enlightenment and true life are beyond any dead, static paths. Do not rely on anyone, not even an inner ego or “I.” Dependence on any of these can lead to false states of existence. Instead, investigate things holistically and exist in an orderly, compassionate way.
