A Personal Journey in Sales

At the start of my sales journey, my perception of sales and marketing was quite different. I initially refrained from calling myself a sales rep, favoring the term "marketing rep." However, my thinking evolved over time. I realized that marketing and sales are closely related and that a degree might not be as important as having talent and the ability to take on projects on your own. Furthermore, government jobs can be a waste of money if you don't get selected.

Chance Encounters in Sales

My entry into the sales field was largely by chance. I was awaiting my joining date at Capgemini when a friend referred me to an immediate sales role at Practo. The opportunity presented itself, and I decided to take it despite being offered a better position at Capgemini. This one chance encounter has taught me valuable lessons that I deeply cherish today. Sales, it turns out, is not just a profession but a journey of discovery and growth.
